Did anyone else read in the GLOB this morning that they now want to “Up Grade” the locker rooms at the high school. Didn’t they just spend 38 million dollars a few years ago remodeling the high school and then follow with “Up Grading” the entrance to the tune of hundreds of thousand dollars. They will be crying they need more money next sprind\g and the spend sisters will be all over it.

Why doesn’t the city give holcim cement plant a tax break or something to open back up? It’s kinda stupid for that nice plant to just sit and not be used.

I was viewing the poll on if people think Kuhn and Bookmeyer can close the deal on the downtown arena. And it occurred funny to me 12 people believe a man that doesn’t work for a living is good at closing multi-million dollar economic development deals. Where did he get all this experience if he is in his 30’s and hasn’t work anywhere for years.

Their is this certain internet rag that write stories about the Mason City area and the “news” stories are so bad the the writers of each story take no pride in their own written work, they have no bylines and/or there is no way to contact the author of the story. Furthermore the website doesn’t have a contact is page. Totally a gossip rag sprinkled with just a little slanted news. This kind of “news” reporting is dangerous and can do great harm.
