WATERLOO – A convicted burglar who got out of prison early from a 25 year sentence is roaming free, and cops want him back in jail.
Curtis Austin III, age 35, was placed on escape status after failing to return to the Waterloo Work Release Facility from employment. Following a parole revocation on December 15, 2014, Austin’s supervision was transferred to work release. This sentence began on December 26, 2002. He had been serving a 25 year prison sentence for first degree burglary.
Information as to Austin’s whereabouts should be reported to the Waterloo Police Department or Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Department.
He is probably hiding here in Mason City with the rest of the imports.
