Cops bring in wanted meth dealer

MASON CITY – A man wanted by police on methamphetamine delivery charges was caught by law enforcement last week and taken to jail.

Daniel Lee Vavrik, age 48 of Mason City is charged with two counts of delivery of methamphetamine. Police had attempted to locate him on June 5, 2014, as the North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force and the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office conducted a coordinated attempt to serve arrest warrants issued for drug investigations.

Vavrick was located in Alexander, Iowa by Cerro Gordo deputies. He awaits a July 3, 2014 court date as he is held on $10,000 bond.
