CEDAR FALLS — Seventy straight victories against Missouri Valley Conference opponents. UNI volleyball reached that historic mark Saturday, October 24, sweeping Bradley at the McLeod Center behind 22 kills from Cassidy Hartman and a milestone night for setter Reese Booth.

The Panthers rolled 25-12, 25-18, 25-16 during their annual Pink Out Match for breast cancer awareness, establishing a program and MVC record for consecutive victories against conference opponents across regular-season and postseason play.

UNI also stretched its overall winning streak to 12 matches, collected its 20th consecutive home victory and beat Bradley for the 11th straight meeting. The record-breaking performance followed Friday’s sweep of Evansville, when the Panthers tied the MVC streak record and Bobbi Petersen earned her 650th win.

Hartman powers a commanding sweep

Northern Iowa put Bradley under pressure immediately, scoring its first nine points on kills and hitting .429 in the opening set. Hartman delivered eight kills in the frame, while Calia Clubb added three.

The Panthers paired that offense with three blocks and limited Bradley to six kills on .034 hitting, taking the first set by 13 points.

Hartman added six kills and her second service ace in the second set. Lily Dykstra contributed five kills as UNI hit .378 and secured a 25-18 win.

The Panthers never trailed in the third set. Hartman supplied another eight kills, Clubb added four, and Maryn Bixby and Dykstra each contributed two. Bixby also recorded two blocks, while Dykstra served two aces to help finish the sweep.

UNI totaled 17 kills in each of the three sets.

Hartman finished with season bests in hitting percentage (.488) and service aces (two). She also surpassed 1,200 career kills, moving past Amy Sampson and Amy Braun into 17th place on UNI’s career list.

The reigning MVC Player of the Year recorded her fourth match with at least 20 kills this season and the 10th of her career.

Booth reaches 2,000 career assists

Booth became the 12th player in program history to reach 2,000 career assists, finishing with 39 assists, 18 digs and an ace.

It was her 16th double-double this season and the 25th of her career. She has recorded double-doubles in 13 of her last 16 matches.

Clubb and Dykstra each finished with nine kills. Clubb added two blocks, while Dykstra contributed six digs and two aces. Bixby had seven kills and two blocks, and Grace Hannam led UNI with three blocks.

Jadyn Petersen added 10 digs and eight assists.

Panthers keep building historic streaks

Saturday’s milestone includes both regular-season and postseason victories against MVC opponents. UNI’s separate regular-season conference winning streak now stands at 62, seven short of the program and league record of 69.

According to UNI Athletics, both conference winning streaks are the longest active marks in Division I volleyball.

The Panthers are 30-1 in MVC sets this season, with their only dropped set coming at Southern Illinois on October 10. They have won the opening set in all 10 conference matches.

UNI’s 20-match home winning streak is the sixth-longest in program history. It began with the Panthers’ second home match of the 2025 season, against South Dakota State.

Head coach Bobbi Petersen is now three victories away from 400 career MVC regular-season wins. Saturday’s result improved UNI to 77-12 all-time against Bradley and 46-7 against the Braves under Petersen.

Indiana State awaits Friday

UNI will travel to Indiana State on Friday, October 30, for a 5 p.m. Central match at ISU Arena in Terre Haute.

The match will stream on ESPN+, with online-only radio coverage through the Panther Sports Radio Network at UNIpanthers.com and on the Varsity app. The road trip also includes a visit to Evansville next weekend.
