MASON CITY — Midwest brews, live music and more than 80 silent auction items will fill the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum when its annual Artoberfest fundraiser returns Friday, October 23.

Doors open at 6 p.m. at the museum, 303 Second Street SE. Tickets are $50 and are available at the museum and through the museum’s website. Guests must be 21 or older.

The fall fundraiser gives area residents a chance to support the Mason City museum while enjoying an evening of food, drinks and entertainment. A variety of beers from across the Midwest will be served alongside an assortment of food. Each guest will receive two drink tickets, with additional drink tickets available for purchase.

Local businesses and artists have donated more than 80 items for the silent auction. A live auction will follow later in the evening, with Brian Carlson serving as auctioneer.

Musical entertainment will come from juni + betty, a folk acoustic duo featuring Juni West and Elisabeth Kirby of Betty and the Gents. The pair performs original songs by both musicians, with West on acoustic guitar and Kirby on keyboards and ukulele.

The event continues an annual fall tradition at the museum, including the 2024 Artoberfest fundraiser previously covered by NorthIowaToday.com.

The museum will be closed to regular visitors Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24, for event preparation and cleanup.

Regular admission to the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum is free. Outside the fundraiser closures, museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. The museum is closed Sundays and Mondays.
