Roger Boyer, 70, dies; former Clear Lake man honored with funeral service

CLEAR LAKE — Roger Allen Boyer, a former Clear Lake man whose life is now being mourned by family, friends and those who knew him, has died at age 70. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Clear Lake United Methodist Church, 508 2nd Avenue North in Clear Lake, with Pastor Luke Evans officiating.

CLEAR LAKE — Roger Allen Boyer, a former Clear Lake man whose life is now being mourned by family, friends and those who knew him, has died at age 70.

Boyer passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Crestview Specialty Care Center in West Branch, Iowa.

He was born June 6, 1956.

His passing marks the loss of a North Iowa man whose life stretched across seven decades and whose memory will remain with the people closest to him.

For family and friends, a life is remembered not only by dates, but by the stories, relationships, quiet moments and familiar places that remain after a loved one is gone.

Boyer’s ties to Clear Lake and North Iowa will continue through those memories and the people who now mourn his passing.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Clear Lake United Methodist Church, 508 2nd Avenue North in Clear Lake, with Pastor Luke Evans officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church.

Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
