Sharon Lee Stohr, age 86, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home in St. Ansgar, Iowa. Sharon was born in St. Ansgar, Iowa on November 28, 1938 to Herbert and Lucile Marcks. She graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1956. A few years after graduation, Sharon met the love of her life, Roger Stohr. They later married in 1971. Sharon was very involved in her community and was a long-time librarian at Nissen Public Library and active member and organist at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Playing the organ was a great passion of hers as well as time spent with her family.
Survivors include her brothers, Rick (Jean) Marcks and Dennis Marcks; nephews, Randy (Amy) Marcks and Brian (Bethany) Marcks; great-niece and nephews, Dylan, Corbyn, Brayden, Carson, Addison, and Haydon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lucile Marcks; husband, Roger Stohr; and her brother and sisters-in-law.
The funeral service for Sharon with be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar, Iowa. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in St. Ansgar, Iowa. Hoff Celebrations are assisting the family with arrangements.
