Anna C. Niles, 89 of Mason City died Sunday, March 31, 2024 at the Manly Specialty Care home in Manly.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, April 5, 2024 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mason City. Officiating will be Rev. Jesse Burns. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 2nd ST SE, Mason City. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Those wishing to make a donation may do so to the Humane Society of North Iowa.
Anna Clara Groven was born on February 5, 1935 in Iowa City. She attended school in Hanlontown, Iowa. In 1960 she moved to Mason City. On January 9, 1962 she was united in marriage to Carl A. Niles in Mason City. They were blessed with the birth of their daughter Carrie Ann Niles. She worked for the Flaming Embers Nightclub, working with the kitchen crew. Anna was active at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Sarah circle.
She enjoyed reading, her yardwork, being a housewife, doing embroidery work, word search puzzles and playing bingo at the care center, spending time with her family and friends was very important to her. One of her favorite activities was walking the dogs at the humane society.
Surviving her includes her sister Clarice (Jim) Naumann, brothers Cecil, Carroll (Sandra), Richard, Gilbert and Jerry (Toni) Groven. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other family members.
Preceding her in death was her parents Clarence and Frances Groven, husband Carl, daughter Carrie Ann, sister Rosecella Noragon, and two brothers Thomas and Robert Groven.
