Sharon Lee Reutzel, 76, of Burt, passed away, Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona, IA, surrounded by her loved ones. Per Sharon’s wishes, she was cremated and there will be no services. Memorials may be directed to Sharon’s immediate family.
Sharon Lee Wilkinson was born on August 28, 1947 in Taft, California. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Myron Otto Reutzel in Sun Valley, CA on August 31, 1965. The couple were blessed with four children. After the couple moved to Iowa, Sharon was a stay-at-home mom for a time; she also held a few other jobs, including custodian for the local school for many years. But her most beloved roles were always of wife, mother, Grandma (Nana) and Great-grandma. She also loved crafting, dancing, and providing loving support to any family member or friend that needed it.
Sharon is survived by her children, Kevin (Jerona) Reutzel, Michael (Jennifer) Reutzel, Tina Reutzel, and Ryan (Kerri) Reutzel; by her 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and by her brother, William (Mayme) Wilkinson and sister, Jenny (Dennis) McConnell.
Sharon was preceded in death by her loving husband, Myron, and her baby grandson, Spencer; as well as by her father, Eugene; her mother, Shirley; brother, Gene; and sister, Cindy.
