The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, met in special session pursuant to adjournment. Present: Vice Chairwoman Lori Meacham Ginapp and Supervisor Chris Watts, and various members of the public. Absent: Chairman Casey Callanan.
Vice Chairwoman Lori Meacham Ginapp convened the meeting at 12:45 p.m.
Watts moved with Meacham Ginapp seconding, to approve today’s agenda. Motion passed.
Public comment session was held.
Watts moved with Meacham Ginapp seconding, to adopt Resolution 2023-98, Whereas the Combined City/School Election was held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023; and, Whereas the official canvass of the results of the North Iowa Area Community College and West Fork School District by the Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors was scheduled for 12:45 p.m. on November 21, 2023; and, Whereas the Board has publicly and duly met and opened and canvassed the election abstracts of the various counties in the NIACC area and West Fork School District. Now, therefore, the Board of Supervisors hereby certifies and declares the final results of the election in the official abstract of this canvas, including those persons elected to the various positions on the ballot, and the passage or failure of the various public measures on the ballot. Motion passed.
Watts moved with Meacham Ginapp seconding, to adjourn at 12:57 p.m. Motion passed.

The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, met in regular session pursuant to adjournment. Present: Chairman Casey Callanan (via phone), Vice Chairwoman Lori Meacham Ginapp, Supervisor Chris Watts and various members of the public.
Chairman Callanan convened the meeting at 10:00 a.m.
Meacham Ginapp moved with Watts seconding, to approve today’s agenda and minutes for November 13, 2023 regular session, November 13, 2023 special session, and November 14, 2023 special session. Motion passed unanimously.
Chairman Callanan opened the public hearing on Cerro Gordo County Conservation Maintenance Shed – Project Number 2023-082 at 10:00 a.m.
Watts moved with Meacham Ginapp seconding, to close the public hearing. Motion passed unanimously.
Watts moved with Meacham Ginapp seconding, to award contract to Kingland Construction. Motion passed unanimously.
Public comment session was held.
Watts moved with Meacham Ginapp seconding, to approve claims. Motion passed unanimously.
Watts moved with Meacham Ginapp seconding, to authorize the Auditor to conduct a recount of the West Fork school public measure vote. Motion passed unanimously.
Meacham Ginapp moved with Watts seconding, to authorize the Chair to sign Service Agreement with Accurate Controls, Inc. for the jail security system. Motion passed unanimously.
County Engineer Billings provided an update.
Meacham Ginapp moved with Watts seconding, to approve the final invoice on the Shoreline Stabilization Project. Motion passed unanimously.
Meacham Ginapp moved with Watts seconding, to adjourn at 10:11 a.m. Motion passed unanimously.
