AMES – Iowa State, winners of three of its last four games against Texas, hosts the No. 7 Longhorns in another Jack Trice Stadium night game. ISU will recognize 14 players prior to the game as part of its Senior Day celebration.
ISU reached bowl eligibility for the sixth time in the last seven seasons after defeating BYU, 45-13, last weekend.
Iowa State and Texas will meet for the 21st time overall and 10th time at Jack Trice Stadium.
ISU has won three of the last four meetings after falling 24-21 last season in Austin … the Cyclones have won the last two games in Ames.
Three of the last four games have been decided by three points or less … the outlier was a 30-7 Cyclone win in Ames in 2021.
Texas’ director of football performance Torre Becton was an assistant strength coach at Iowa State from 2007-08.
