Michelle Stanley, age 55 of Humboldt, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Unity Point Health – Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral service are currently pending. Services have been entrusted with Lentz Funeral Home of Humboldt.
Michelle Renee Stanley, the daughter of Lloyd “Jerry” and Geraldine (Hauck) Smith, was born on April 27, 1968 at Great Lakes Naval Station in Illinois. Her family moved all over due to her father’s Navy career. Michelle was part of Twin River Valley’s graduating class of 1986. She furthered her education and graduated from the Spencer School of Business. On July 28, 1990 she married her best friend and love of her life, Keith Stanley in Livermore. Michelle was employed by McKesson Medical Supply where she worked for 25 years.
Michelle loved to hike in her earlier years and attend concerts. You could often find her baking and working in the yard. There were very few days that Michelle and Keith spent apart.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of almost 33 years: Keith Stanley of Humboldt; mother: Geraldine Smith of Livermore; sister: Julie (Tom) Olson of Bode; brother: Terry (Lynn) Smith of Cedar Rapids and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her father.
