Cops raid Northern Iowa residence, arrest women on drug possession and child endangerment charges

CLERMONT, IOWA - A Northern Iowa woman is behind bars after cops raided a residence and found illegal meth and marijuana.

CLERMONT, IOWA – A Northern Iowa woman is behind bars after cops raided a residence and found illegal meth and marijuana.

On May 14, 2023, at approximately 1:00 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 106 Clay St. Clermont IA. During a search of the residence, methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia were found and seized. Melissa Ellen Shaw, 38 of Clermont IA, was arrested and charged with:

– Child Endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor
– Possession of a Controlled Substance methamphetamine and marijuana 1st offenses, serious misdemeanors
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor

Shaw was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where she was held until initial appearance. Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by , Clayton County Sherriff’s Office, West Union Police Department and Postville Police Department.
