MASON CITY – A Mason City woman was sentenced for drunk driving for the second time.
Italy Shante Denwiddie (pictured at top), age 36 of Mason City, was arrested by Clear Lake police back on August 14, 2022. She faced charges of first-offense operating while intoxicated. She later pled guilty on February 21, 2023 and was sentenced to two days in jail and $3645.50 in fines and court fees. A speeding ticket was tossed out in the deal.
Denwiddie was guilty of first offense operating while intoxicated and a swath of other crimes after an arrest by the Iowa State Patrol in Cerro Gordo county back in July of 2016.
