College Basketball: Cyclones no match for Wildcats today, lose 61-55 at Kansas State

MANHATTAN, KANSAS – #19 Iowa State couldn’t hold a hard-fought halftime lead at #12 Kansas State today, dropping a Big 12 road game to the Wildcats, 61-55.

Aljaz Kunc led Iowa State (17-9, 8-6) with 15 points, while Gabe Kalscheur chipped in 11.  Guard Caleb Grill missed the game.  Freshman guard Tamin Lipsey suffered 6 turnovers in the game.

Iowa State beat Kansas State (20-7, 8-6) back on January 24, 80-76, in a home game in Hilton Coliseum.

NOTES
-Gabe Kalscheur made his 50th start as a Cyclone.
-Aljaž Kunc went over 700 points for his career.
-Iowa State has held all but one Big 12 opponent below its season scoring average.
-Robert Jones surpassed 400 rebounds for his career.
