FOREST CITY – The Waldorf University Men’s Wrestling team will once again take center stage at the Boman Fine Arts Center on Wednesday, Jan. 25th during the Battle at the Boman event.
This year’s event will feature guest appearances by legendary wrestling coaches Dan Gable & Jim Miller. The battle will be held at the Boman Fine Arts Center located at 225 John K. Hanson Dr., Forest City.
Special VIP passes can be purchased to allow individuals a before event meet and greet session at 5 pm with Gable and Miller. The VIP experience option will include gift bags, signed posters, a t-shirt, sticker, and prime seating, in addition to the before event meet and greet with Gabel and Miller.
General admissions access begins at 5:45 pm. Gable and Miller will be available at that time for photo opportunities and autographs.
This is the second annual Battle at the Boman which features live, on-stage men’s wrestling matches. The Waldorf University Men’s Wrestling team will host Iowa Wesleyan University.
“We are honored to have Coach Gable and Coach Miller in attendance with us this year. We are a young team and having the opportunity to make connections with these types of legends can go a long way in changing the trajectory of a collegiate wrestler’s career.” said Waldorf Men’s Wrestling coach Ryan Dickinson. “We’re hoping to have an even better turn-out than last year as we work to increase our connections to surrounding communities.”
A silent auction will also be held which will include an autographed print donated by Gable.
While seats last, Waldorf University Alumni may receive VIP seating at the Alumni general admissions price. Alumni upgrade to the full VIP Experience if desired.
General admissions tickets will be $8 for the general public, $5 for Alumni, and $4 for children 12 and under. VIP experience tickets will be $50 in advance or $60 at the door while seats are available.
