CHARLES CITY – Charles City police and U.S. Marshalls nabbed an Arizona murder suspect Friday as a school was locked down for safety.
The Charles City police department assisted the U.S. Marshals with the apprehension and arrest of Trevontea Tyron Howard-Brown, age 24. He was wanted on an outstanding warrant for felony murder out of Pima County, Arizona.
Howard-Brown was taken into custody in the 1100 block of Kelly Street.
Police said that as a precaution, IC School was placed on lock-down and an officer was on site during the operation due to their proximity to the location. He is currently being held in the Floyd County Jail. There is a bond of $1,000,000.
