WATERLOO – Authorities recently nabbed a Waterloo strip club shooting suspect in Kansas.
On August 21st, 2022, Waterloo police officers were dispatched to Flirts Gentlemen’s Club at 319 Jefferson St. in reference a weapons violation. One victim arrived at local hospitals with non-life threatening wounds. Shell casings were recovered by police.
Throughout the investigations, officers identified one suspect in the shooting as 30-year-old Larry E. Phillips of Waterloo. A warrant for felon in possession of a firearm was issued.
On Wednesday, December 28, 2022, task force officers assigned with the U.S. Marshals Service in Wichita, Kansas, located Phillips and took him into custody. As Phillips was taken into custody, officers located a firearm and narcotics on his person.
Waterloo police said, “This arrest is yet another example of a great partnership between the Waterloo Police Department and the U.S. Marshals.”
This is just another example of violence at this particular venue. On December 31, 2022, at 12:10 AM, Waterloo police officers responded to a shooting that occurred at Flirts Gentleman’s Club, resulting in the arrest of one suspect as two victims arrived at local hospitals with non-life threatening wounds.
