Nancy Jo Clifford

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Rock Falls Community Center, 3 Nottingham St, Rock Falls, IA. The family invites you to come and enjoy drinks and memories on Nancy. Guests are encouraged to wear casual attire.
Nancy Jo Stover was born September 7, 1949 in Eldora, Iowa, the daughter of Gerry (Stover) Knoop. She attended school in Rockford Iowa. Nancy was united in marriage to Chuck Wolters in February 1967 at the United Methodist Church in Rockford. To this union 3 children were born: Tonya, Monte, and Janan. While the children were growing up Nancy could be found working on the farm, driving truck, bailing hay, and milking cattle. She and Chuck later divorced.
Nancy went to work for Nora Springs Care Center in 1989. She went onto marry Ed Clifford in August 1993, they made their home in Clear Lake, Iowa. They enjoyed planting flowers, fishing, and taking drives around the lake. Nancy started her job at Diamond Vogel in November 1994 as the Receptionist. In 1999, Nancy was immensely proud of her promotion to the Bookkeeper position. She then retired in 2020.
After retirement Nancy enjoyed crocheting, and playing her daily slots. She often had fun mowing the lawn not only her own but for neighbors and friends. Nancy enjoyed her weekend trips to the casino with her friends.
Ed fell ill in September 1996 and passed May of 1997. Nancy then sold the Clear Lake house and made her home back in Nora Springs.
Nancy considered her biggest accomplishments to be her three children, nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren plus one one the way. They were what made her world go round. She was also blessed with her wonderful friends!
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Monte (Fiance, Brittany Clark) Wolters and Janan (Eric) Brunner; grandchildren, Abby (Dustin) Servantez, Colby (Brittany) Martin, Austin (significant other, Cailee Henning) , Aiden, Ashton, Brodee Wolters, Kyrstin (Zack), Ericka and Chet Brunner; great grandchildren, Case, Mia, Laina Servantez, Parker, Beau and Chay Martin; brother, Roger (Gloria) Stover; half brother, William (Renee) Knoop, and half sister, Cyndi Davis.
Nancy was proceeded in death by her daughter; Tonya Martin, husband; Ed Clifford, Mother; Gerry Knoop, sister; Sandra Palmer niece and nephew; April and Michael Palmer.
