Irene Pivarnik, 69, of Charles City, passed away on August 22, 2022 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City with Sister Diana Blong with Immaculate Conception Catholic Church officiating.
Irene Marie (Scavnicky) Pivarnik, the daughter of Tiber and Irene (Karol) Scavnicky, was born April 21, 1953 in West Palm Beach, Florida. She attended college for a short time, but had an over 20 year career with American Media. Irene was also an amazing wife, mother and grandmother.
Irene loved watching The Food Network, and could make delicious Hungarian goulash. She was very good at making something wonderful out of nothing. Irene enjoyed cooking, watching cooking shows, playing all games on her iPad and loved animals.
Living family members include her three children: Renée Dunn, Tammy (Cory) Wagner and Michael T. Pivarnik; six grandchildren: Logan Ruiz, Landon Ruiz, Maguire Wagner, Morgan Wagner, Noah Pivarnik and Madalyn Pivarnik; along with other family members and friends.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Irene and Tiber Scavnicky; first husband, Donald Dunn; husband, Michael Pivarnik, Jr.
