WATERLOO – A Waterloo man was arrested after a shooting at Club Legacy.
On May 30th, 2022 Waterloo Police responded to Club Legacy at 120 Sumner Street for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located multiple shells casings, damage to a nearby church, damage to multiple vehicles, and one victim arrived at Allen Hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
On August 4th, 2022, detectives assigned to the Violent Crime Apprehension Team (VCAT) and US Marshals Service- Northern Iowa Fugitive Task Force arrested 23-year-old Jaylon Holmes of Waterloo, Iowa, for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Reckless Use of a Firearm. This arrest stems from the ongoing investigation into the shooting incident at Club Legacy.
