Dana Barnett, 53, of Ionia, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
A celebration of Dana’s life will be held at a later date.
Dana Jon Barnett, the son of Daryl and Barbara (Hobert) Barnett, was born on October 6, 1968 in Charles City. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1987 and then graduated from Hawkeye Tech. Dana was united in marriage to Nola Mae Johnson in November 1989. To this union the couple had three children: Benjamin, Morgan, and Rebecca. The couple later divorced. He was then united in marriage to Karissa Bray in December 2007. To this union the couple had Danika. The couple was later divorced.
Dana worked for Featherlite in Cresco, Mitas in Charles City and most recently for Ameritech in New Hampton. Dana enjoyed antique tractors, NASCAR races and watching Iowa Hawkeye football.
Dana is survived by his children: Benjamin Barnett of Hibbing, Minnesota, Morgan (Renee Harris) of Charles City, Rebecca (Tim) Haavisto of Virginia, Minnesota, and Danika Barnett of Charles City; grandchildren: TJ Haavisto along with four others; parents, Daryl and Barb Barnett; and brother, Kelly (Paula) Barnett.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nola; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Norma Hobert; and paternal grandparents, Bob and Iva Barnett.
