BREMER COUNTY – A Worth county man is charged with felony drug crimes after a recent drunk driving arrest.
On November 19, 2021, 57-year-old Gary Reuter of Manly was driving through Bremer county and stopped by a deputy. After an investigation, he was arrested for first-offense operating while intoxicated, felony B possession of meth with intent to deliver, and felony D drug tax stamp violations.
Reuter pleaded not guilty at an arraignment hearing. Despite Rueter’s long criminal history, a judge amended his bond down to just $25,000, which Rueter posted and was released from jail on December 15.
Rueter was charged with felony drug crimes in Black Hawk county in 1993 and served a prison sentence. Again in 2005, Reuter was charged with a felony drug crime and was represented by Richard Tompkins. He served a jail sentence for that crime.
