Donna DeVries, 83, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away on Friday December 17th, 2021, at Heritage Care Center. There will be a graveside service held at a later date for all family and friends that would like to attend. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.
Donna was born on August 11th. 1938 to Wilma and Red Heffelmeier of Ackley, Iowa. She was married to Ronald (Rocky) DeVries on May 27th, 1957. They had four children; Teresa (Clay) Greenawalt, Larry DeVries, Deb (Chris) Cory and Mike DeVries. She was a stay at home mom for many years. Later in life she was employed at Book and Bible, Scenic Manor as a house keeper and she also worked in laundry. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and feeding people when they came to visit. A few of her other passions included reading and bowling. She was in a bowling league for many years.
She is survived by her children, Teresa (Clay) Greenawalt and a child Cody, Deb (Chris) Cory and children Dustan, Amber and Leslie, Mike DeVries and children Ben, Cheyenne, Jake and Allison. She also has numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her parents Wilma and Red, husband Ron (Rocky), son Larry, her sister, Andrea and great-grandson Gunnar. Any cards or flowers may be sent to Teresa Greenawalt at 17838 C Ave in Alden, IA 50006-9152.
