BUENA VISTA COUNTY – A Northern Iowa man died in an auto accident.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place on November 12, 2021. At about 8:59 AM on Highway 71 south of 510th Street in Buena Vista county, a 2005 Ford F150 driven by 33-year-old Juan Alday Pena of Storm Lake was northbound on Highway 71 and crossed the center line. At this time, a 2010 GMC Arcadia driven by 46-year-old Terry Stevens of Spencer was southbound. The vehicles collided head-on. Pena died at the scene. Ninfa Cabral Bautista, a passenger in Pena’s vehicle was hurt and transported to a hospital.
