Northern Iowa man wanted on felony meth charge busted after traffic stop

CURLEW, IOWA – A Northern Iowa man was wanted on a felony meth charge was busted after a recent traffic stop.

On September 19, 2021, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 4700 block of 380th Ave., Curlew, Iowa. As a result of the traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle, 57-year-old Robert Butler of Laurens, Iowa, was placed under arrest pursuant to a valid Adams County felony warrant for possession of methamphetamine 3rd offense. The warrant carried a bond of $5000.00 cash only.

Butler was transported to the Palo Alto County Jail to await extradition to Adams County, where he soon bonded out of jail.
