Two hurt after alleged drunken Iowa man rolls ATV

ARLINGTON, IOWA – Two people were hurt this weekend after an alleged drunken Iowa man rolled the ATV they were all riding in.

On Sunday, October 25, 2020, at approximately 2:45 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took multiple 911 calls of a UTV roll-over accident near the intersection of 95th St. and C Avenue just outside of Arlington, Iowa. When Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on scene, it was found the driver of the 2020 Polaris Ranger, 35-year-old Albert Lawrence Cline of West Union, Iowa, was intoxicated. Cline was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense. Two other passengers in the UTV were injured in the roll-over accident, one of whom was transported by ambulance to Palmer ER, in West Union.

Cline was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where he awaits initial appearance.

Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Iowa State Patrol, Arlington Fire Department, Arlington Ambulance Service and the Iowa DNR.

There was minimal damage to the 2020 Polaris Ranger.
