FAYETTE COUNTY – Sex offenders violating rules were rounded up by law enforcement in Fayette county, Iowa and charged with felonies.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reports that after an investigation of two Fayette County Registered sex offenders, the sheriff’s office found both to be in violation of the state registry. Matthew Dale Halterman, age 29 of West Union and Justin Thomas Cavnar, age 36 also of West Union were arrested and charged with second offense failure to comply with sex-offender registry, a class “D” felony.
Both were transported to the Fayette County Jail without incident.
