WATERLOO – Shots were fired and police pursued a vehicle fleeing a Waterloo neighborhood, leading to the arrest of two people.
On December 6th, 2019 at 12:43 am Waterloo Police were dispatched to 1206 Columbia Street for a report of shots fired. As officers were responding to the area officers located a vehicle fleeing the area at a high rate of speed. They attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle, and the vehicle led them on a short pursuit, but was eventually stopped, and was occupied by three subjects. The investigation into this matter led the recovery of a stolen handgun and the following arrests:
