RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday in rural Cerro Gordo county.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2004 Ford Expedition driven by 47-year-old Kevin Suffer of Mason City was traveling north on Grouse Avenue near Clear Lake just before noon, when the vehicle crossed the center line. The Expedition then struck a southbound 2015 Chevy Equinox driven by 64-year-old Timothy Joseph Tracy of Swaledale.
As a result of the accident, three people were injured and taken to Mercy Medical Center: Shaffer, Tracy and 56-year-old Dennis Peuvion of Clear Lake.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s office, Clear Lake police, Clear Lake fire, Mason City fire, Mercy Air Med and Happy Trails Towing.
