CORALVILLE – Henry Lee Whitfield was pronounced dead due to natural causes at 6:27 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 in a hospice room of the Iowa Medical and Classification Center where he had been housed due to chronic illness. Whitfield was 69 years old at the time of his death.
Whitfield had been serving a lifetime sentence for the crimes of Kidnapping 1st Degree (710.2) and Sexual Abuse 2nd Degree (709.3) from Scott County. His incarceration began on December 18, 1980.
