RURAL KOSSUTH COUNTY – A tornado was reported Tuesday evening in rural Kossuth county outside Algona, doing some structural damage.
According to Kossuth County Emergency Management, that county has been impacted by severe weather. At approximately 3:45 PM, that agency says, a trained storm spotter reported a possible tornado touchdown near 70 Avenue and 200th Steet, southwest of Algona.
Damage has been confirmed to power poles and a confinement building. Crews are working to repair damage. No injuries are reported at this time.
