CRESTON – The NIACC women’s golf team opened its fall season by placing fourth with a 386 at the Southwestern War at the Moor tournament Tuesday at the Crestmoor Golf Club.
William Penn won the tournament with a 338 and Graceland was second with a 346.
NIACC was led by sophomores Ashley Alert and Sydney Fullerton, who both shot 46-48 – 94. Also for the Lady Trojans, freshman Jordyn Barragy shot a 46-52 – 98 and sophomore Morgan Luecht shot a 53-47 – 100.
NIACC returns to action Monday at the NIACC Invitational. The tournament is slated to start at 10:30 a.m. at the Mason City Country Club.
