Drunk drivers arrested in Worth county; motorcyclist clocked at 107 mph

WORTH COUNTY – The Worth county sheriff’s office has taken a number of drunk drivers to jail in recent days.

On August 26, 2018 at 2:43 AM, a Worth County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Red 2015 Ford F150 for speeding on Highway 9 and Jonquil Avenue. The driver, identified as Adam Russell Vaske of Clear Lake Iowa was arrested and charged with Operating While Under The Influence 1st Offense (serious misdemeanor), Open Container (simple misdemeanor), and Speeding (simple misdemeanor).

On August 10, 2018 at approximately 9:16 PM, a Worth County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was not able to maintain staying the lane. The traffic stop was made on Highway 105 near Apple Avenue. The Driver was identified as Erwin Naser. With further investigation Naser was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense and booked into the Worth County Jail.

On August 10, 2018 shortly before 1:00 AM, a Worth County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle for going 107 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone. The traffic stop occurred on Highway 105 at the intersection with Bluebill Ave. The driver was identified as Thomas Casper of Franksville, Wisconsin. Upon further investigation Casper was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated 1st offense. Casper was booked into the Worth County Jail for OWI-1st offense and speed. The Worth County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lake Mills Police Department and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office.

On July 29, 2018 at 1:31 AM, the Worth County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a highly intoxicated male sitting in a vehicle on Raven Avenue and Highway 9. A Worth County Deputy arrived on-scene to find Craig Allen Lewis Pearce of Mason City Iowa. Pearce was arrested and charged with Operating While Under The Influence 1st Offense a serious misdemeanor, Open Container a simple misdemeanor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a simple misdemeanor, and Driving While Suspended a simple misdemeanor.
