RURAL WORTH COUNTY – Small town firefighters put out a field fire in Worth county Sunday morning.

At 11:00 AM Sunday morning, Worth County emergency was notified by a passerby that a fire was spotted at 330th Street and Highway 65.

Located on the east side of Highway 65 and midway between 330th and 320th Streets, smoke could be seen spreading through a corn field. It was soon extinguished by the Plymouth Fire Department. Manly firefighters assisted by bringing out their mobile water truck.

The heat and wind could have been factors in spreading the fire.

Firefighters were dispatched to the same location again at 3:40 PM.
