Minnesota motorcyclist flown to Mercy after crashing into tractor in Worth county

RURAL WORTH COUNTY – A Minnesota motorcyclist was hurt in a crash with a tractor Sunday evening in rural Worth county.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash took place Sunday, June 17 at around 5:20 PM on Highway 105, east of Interstate 35.

A John Deer tractor operated by 29-year-old Isaac Hovey of Northwood was traveling east bound on Highway 105, with its flashers on, as it
attempted to turn into a driveway on the north side of the road. At that time, a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by 40-year-old Shawn Boyd of Elmore, Minnesota attempted to pass on the left side at a high rate of speed and struck the front of the tractor. Boyd was thrown from the bike and came to rest in the north ditch east of the driveway. He was flown by Mercy Air Med to Mercy Hospital in Mason City with undisclosed injuries.

Hovey was unharmed.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by Mercy Air Med and the Worth County Sheriff.

Motorcycle VS. Tractor=Motorcycle loses every time.

Farmer are government (subsides) and like the rest of their liberals they are privileged.

Just what is a high rate of speed, and who determined it, the farmer with the slow moving vehicle sign. I guess that’s what I would have said to save my ass.

I hope the biker sues the hell out of that farmer and who ever said he does’nt have to abide by DOT(maybe them especially because they are letting privileged people break the rules everyone else on the hiways has to abide by (you know safety regulations for idiots.) – stupid is as stupid does.

Because of elected Officials that are farmers/own farm land – farmers are above the law – no CDL to operate semi’s hauling their grain or others grain to elevators – if 1 kernal in the truck is theirs they don’t need a cdl license – maybe if All farm machinery had to have turn siginals while operating on public roads like everyone else these accident would not have happened – 1 just last week also – more farmers involved all the time – Worth county is bad and our elected officials are like the rest of the states group of elites and not so honest with the public.

Put turn signals on those damn joggers too!
