MASON CITY – A man who inflicted some revenge porn was embroiled in some animal and human abuse this past week in Mason City and is behind bars.
William Alan Eldridge, age 27 of Mason City, was sentenced to jail last year for nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images – “revenge porn” – up in Minnesota. Eldridge had created fake social media profiles and placed naked pictures of someone on the profile. He then directed folks to take a peek, in order to inflict emotional harm upon his victim. He was also put on probation for his crime.
Back on the evening of March 24, Eldridge was embroiled in a domestic situation in which Mason City police responded. After an investigation, Eldridge was charged with felony D third or subsequent offense domestic abuse assault, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and animal abuse. He was taken to the Cerro Gordo county jail, where he remains held awaiting a court appearance on April 3.
Eldridge is a convicted felon who served time in Iowa prisons after a number of domestic abuse assault convictions.
