Mason City man faces burglary and theft charges

MASON CITY – A Mason City man facing burglary charges in Worth county has been charged in Cerro Gordo county with felony burglary and theft.

Joshua Thomas Teeter, age 20, was brought from Worth county this week to face three counts of felony third-degree burglary, felony first-degree theft and felony second-degree theft. All the charges were brought by Mason City police for crimes he allegedly committed in February.  He will face a hearing on March 30.

Teeter had been in jail in Worth county after he was caught by a deputy there back on March 4 in a suspicious vehicle with 19-year-old Channing Greer. They tried to flee the deputy, but their car ran out of gas. Both were caught and charged with third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit a felony, both class D felonies.  He is awaiting arraignment on March 26 in that case.
