DES MOINES – Gov. Kim Reynolds issued a proclamation on Thursday setting the date for a special election in Iowa State Senate District 25. The special election will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. It follows the recent resignation of former State Senator Bill Dix.
Iowa State Senate District 25 is comprised of State House Districts 49 and 50.
Iowa Code 69.14 outlines the authority given to the governor to set a special election.
