BUCHANAN COUNTY, IOWA – An Iowa woman who cops said left her 3-year-old child in a car while she dined at a restaurant – but was not convicted – was recently found in a ditch with meth.
On Monday, March 5, 2018 at approximately 9:15 AM, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 40-year-old Christin Kay Pasker of Manchester, Iowa. Pasker was charged with third or subsequent offense Operating While Intoxicated (class D felony), Driving While License Revoked (serious misdemeanor), Driving While License Suspended (simple misdemeanor), first offense Possession of Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (serious misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). Pasker was also cited for Open Container, Failure to Maintain Control, Failure to Carry Registration and Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance. This arrest was made following a report of a vehicle that went into the ditch on Hwy 20 near the 257 mile marker.
On July 7, 2016 the Manchester, Iowa Police Department received a complaint of a child just 3 years of age left in a car unattended. The car left the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival. An investigation by police, however, revealed a woman had placed the child in the car because the child was acting up during supper at the Sunset restaurant. The child was left in a locked car while its mother, Pasker, returned to the restaurant to finish supper. As a result of her actions, Pasker was arrested on July 13, 2016 on a charge of child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor.
However, court records show that charges against Pasker in that case were dismissed in August of last year.
