RURAL FLOYD COUNTY – One person is dead after a car crash Monday morning in Floyd county.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident occurred at 4:30 AM near Highway 18 and Waterbury Road, near Floyd. The driver, 21-year-old Tanner Patrick Walker of Postville, was driving a 1996 Ford Explorer northbound on Highway 18 and drifted off the road way. The vehicle flipped over and the driver was ejected.
The driver was taken to a Charles City hospital.
Assisting the Iowa State Patrol was the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office and the Floyd Fire Department.
