Mason City man arrested for drunk driving

MASON CITY – A Mason City man was arrested for drunk driving this weekend.

Mason City police conducted a traffic stop just after midnight on Saturday, November 25 near Virginia Avenue and 2nd Street SE. After an investigation, officers arrested the driver, 49-year-old James Richard Shipley of Mason City on a charge of operating while intoxicated. He was briefly jailed and released.

There’s a reasonable chance that Mr. Shipley won’t be found guilty of this offense, as he has been charged with a number of serious crimes in the past and the charges have been dismissed. Examples are domestic abuse (2012 – Franklin county), obstruction of emergency communications (2012 – Franklin county), interference with official acts (2012 – Franklin county), felony burglary (2012 – Franklin county), and drunk driving with no insurance (2012 – Cerro Gordo county).

Shipley, James Richard

Isn’t he married to the Mason City City Assessor, Dana Naumann? Pretty sure they just got married a month or so ago.

Good lawyer and lots of money.

SNITCH apparently tells police drug dealer info to get off. wait til they catch him

Who does this guy know that is allowing him to get out of trouble every time?

I don’t think he is from here. Maryland or DC somewhere out east.
