Mason City woman guilty of theft for second time this year

MASON CITY – A Mason City woman is guilty of theft for a second time this year and has been sent to jail.

Keisha Spring Dunigan, age 28, pled guilty to third-degree theft after an incident in Mason City on June 15.  She was sentenced to 7 days in jail and must pay $372.00 in court costs. A $625.00 fine was suspended.

Dunigan was arrested in Mason City back on the evening of February 22, 2017.   At about 9:37 PM, police went to Dollar General, 305 North Federal Avenue, for a theft report. After an investigation, Dunigan was arrested on a charge of aggravated misdemeanor third-degree theft.  She later took a plea deal to a lesser charge of fifth-degree theft and was ordered to pay $542.97 in fines and court fees.
