MASON CITY – A Florida man was jailed after he allegedly tried to steal from a Mason City retailer.
Mason City police were called to Fleet Farm, 3200 4th Street SW in Mason City, on the afternoon of November 19 for an alleged theft. After an investigation, an officer arrested 53-year-old Richard William Samuel Badger of Lehigh, Florida, on a charge of fifth-degree theft.
Badger was taken to the county jail and held briefly before being released, pending a court date.
Anytime you see “Florida man…” in a headline, you know it’s gonna be stupidity.
