Humane Society to host 18th Annual Fall Festival

MASON CITY – The Humane Society of North Iowa will host its 18th Annual Fall Festival Fundraiser on Sunday, September 24th at the National Guard Armory in Mason City. The free event is open to the public and will take place from noon to 4:00 pm.

The Fall Festival Fundraiser will feature activities such as a silent auction (ends at 3:00), a bounce house, horse rides and games for kids, bake sale, concession stand, and other fun activities. Adoptable animals from the shelter will also be at the event.

The event is being held at the National Guard Armory, located at 1160 19th Street SW, in Mason City. There is no admission charge for the event and all activities are free with the exception of a $5 fee for the children’s activities.

“The Fall Festival is an important annual event for our organization.” said Humane Society Executive Director Sybil Soukup, “Proceeds from this fundraiser will allow us to provide quality care to the animals that rely on us in our shelter as well as provide services to communities in North Iowa. Lastly, it’s just a fun and easy way to support your local Humane Society.”

For everyone’s safe enjoyment, the public is asked to please leave your family pet at home.
