Naughty driver jailed after more bad deeds

MASON CITY – A Mason City woman with a history of traffic-related run-ins with cops was busted once again in recent days and placed in a cold jail cell.

A Cerro Gordo deputy conducted a traffic stop at Walmart, 4151 4th Street SW, at about 10 PM on June 7. After an investigation, the driver, 23-year-old Ashley Marie Troge, was found to be operating the vehicle under suspension with no insurance. She also allegedly interfered with the deputy, leading to a charge of interference with official acts. Troge’s vehicle was impounded and she was taken to jail.

Back in July of 2015, Troge was accused by Fort Dodge police of fleeing an officer as he conducted a traffic stop. She, along with a male accomplice who were riding in a stolen car, ran from the scene on foot but were captured. She was charged with interference with official acts, pled guilty the next day, and was sent to jail for 5 days with a $637.50 bill for fees and fines.  That year, Troge was arrested a number of times for theft.
