Fort Dodge police make arrest of alleged drug dealer and attempted murderer after “long and complex investigation”

FORT DODGE – A long investigation in Fort Dodge has resulted in the arrest of a man for attempted murder on two different occasions as fellas drug dealing.

During the early hours of January 11th, 2016, the Fort Dodge Police Department, working in tandem with other agencies and our Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), conducted a search warrant at 2355 8th Avenue North. The warrant execution itself was the culmination of a long and complex investigation into multiple incidents that have been reported recently within Fort Dodge. Police say that “with the great efforts and teamwork between our Patrol and Investigations divisions, and with the assistance of other agencies, there are a number of cases that we are pleased to be reporting closure to for our citizens.”

During the execution of the search warrant, 28-year-old Gregory Jerome Pulley Jr. of Fort Dodge was taken into custody and charged in connection with the following:

• Attempted Murder (Class B Felony) Case 16-3365 – November 9th 2016 – Shots Fired call at 707 7th Avenue North. Victim identified as Marquez Clayton (23) of Fort Dodge, was taken to Unity Point Hospital for non-life threatening gun wound injuries.
• Attempted Murder (Class B Felony) Case 16-3736 – December 15th 2016 – Shots Fired call at convenience store “Yes Way” located at 115 North 22nd Street. No victims injured at that time.
• Possession of Stolen Property / Theft 2nd (Class D Felony) Case 16-3800 – December 21st 2016.

Additionally, through investigative work by the Webster County Drug Task Force, the following charges were filed:

• Delivery of Marijuana x3 (D Felony)
• Possession With Intent To Deliver marijuana (D Felony)
• Ongoing Criminal Conduct (B Felony) Charged as a result of all previously mentioned criminal activities.

The Fort Dodge Police Department thanked a number of agencies as well as the public for their cooperation in the investigation.

I can’t wait till January 20th when Trump stops all these criminals. Because once Trump takes office we will no longer have thugs like this running our streets. Trump is going to clean up Fort Dodge for us. Trump can make Ft. Dodge great again.
