Championship coach Bob Horner accepts top position with Mason City softball

mc-mohawks-old-logoMASON CITY – Bob Horner has accepted the position as Head Softball Coach for the Mason City Mohawks for the upcoming season.

Coach Horner is no stranger to Mohawk athletics. Bob was the head boys basketball coach for 17 years at MCHS, bringing home back-to-back state championships in 1996
and 1997. He was the head baseball coach for four years in the early 1990’s, as well as head softball coach for two years prior to his retirement is 2006. For the past two seasons, Bob has served as assistant softball coach at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC).

“I am very excited for the opportunity to coach again at a place I hold dear to my heart.”

how many coaches in the last 5 or 6 years? Whats the problem

Maybe the softball coach plays the players that can play and not the ones that play because of you they are. You know like the football team

Too bad he can’t coach football

Agreed current coaching staff is a joke Berkley is awful and Clint Thomas stick to insurance.
