MASON CITY – Folks were treated to art, delicious food (some of it free) and nice weather Thursday night at a Mason City elementary school.
An Art of Achievement show was held Thursday night, May 5 at Jefferson Elementary School in Mason City. Everyone was invited to walk around the building and see students’ artwork displayed proudly.
There was Culver’s frozen custard (500 servings) offered for free in the gym to greet those who attended. In honor of Cinco de Mayo, Mr. Taco arrived, selling out of his taco truck.
“The food is pretty good,” said Keith Hall of Mason City and noted a long line awaited.
Folks brought blankets, purchased their tacos and had picnics on the playground before they went inside to see the art and have dessert.
