MASON CITY – In something of a rarity, Southbridge Mall is welcoming a new restaurant under its roof – the popular Mr. Taco.
“Mr. Taco is officially open, and it smells amazing!” Southbridge Mall proclaimed Friday, January 5.
Mr. Taco is located in the north end of the Mall, near D&S Services, in the food court.
There was a good gathering of folks Friday waiting in line to try their fresh Mexican cuisine. Many are used to seeing their food truck parked in various locations between Mason City and Northwood, typically in front of Mason City Brewing.
The hours for Mr. Taco are:
Monday-Wednesday 10:00am-6:00pm
Thursday-Saturday 10:00am-9:00pm
Sunday 10:00am-5:00pm

Survey time.
How many people who go to the mall for the express reason of visiting Mr. Taco will stop and make a purchase in another store.

I was sad when they ran him off the empty lot by Kum and Go north.
I never buy kng food but I would wash down tacos with their soda.

Any reviews on Mr. Taco? I have seen their truck around town but have never eaten their food. Does it compare to La Hacienda at all?

I have had their Tacos several times and I think they are great.
The food is excellent, I had it twice.
I prefer a loose meat sandwich to a taco, something like Pro’s sandwich to Mr. Taco.
